The second expression in our exclusive cask finish series, this 100% Straight Rye Whiskey underwent an 11-month transformation in authentic Tawny Port barrels from Portugal.
 
After our PX Sherry finish, we continued our exploration of fortified wine casks with this exceptional Tawny Port barrel. Hand-selected from Northeast Barrel Company, this cask previously aged traditional Tawny Port, imparting layers of complexity that reimagine what rye whiskey can be.
 
The extended port finishing mellows rye's characteristic spice, creating a gentler, sweeter profile:
Nose: Caramel and maple sweetness with hints of dried plum
Palate: Rich caramel and maple notes balanced with port's signature nuttiness and subtle spice
Finish: Smooth and lingering with warming spice and dried fruit
